User Interface Design
A New app for better College life.
After living in college town for three years, using
many kinds of apps we have for college life, I found
none of them with multi-functions.
To make students’ life more convenient, U-Lite was
designed to help students to have a better campus
experience, by doing everything just in one APP.
This prototype is including the basic frames of “U-LITE”.
For login part, I used a simple design to show the main functions more clearly. Users can create a new account or log in using Facebook accounts.
01 Current Activities
02 Current Release Apartment
03 Map for School area and surroundings
04 Map for Finding friends
05 Academic- Register classes
Usually, we need to sign leases one year ahead of time, but plans can change: study abroad,
graduating in spring, a short-term lease, etc.. No
current App addresses this. Through U-Lite, you
can find long term or short term, and post personal
apartments subleasing information. You
can also see the details of apartment’s you are
interested in, including AC, TV, Bathroom, and wifi.
This is for students and faculties to look for current events in surroundings. Each event shows in postcard style frames with details including date and time, and details. Also, users can select the one they want to join and put them into “My activities”.
A new map for finding routes and friends. If you can’t find someone, or you are worried about where
he/she is, this map can help you. It can also be used in daily life by showing your friends real-time locations. It can also be used for everyday hangouts.
It includes three parts.
1. Checking iclicker status, which is how many absences you have,
2. A notebook that records homework and reminders for every day.
3. Register classes.
As college students, we sometimes have difficulty registering courses. U-lite reminds you when any sections have open seats.
